We both laughed out loud a lot, and the characters were very interesting and alive.
My favorite character was Jamie Jenks a boy magician who is always doing something so crazy and funny. I gave my third grade teacher a copy of this book and she is now reading the book to my class. My friends are fighting over who gets to borrow the book. I said to go get one for themselves! This is a great book. Everybody should read it. I've never seen such excitement over a book.
What makes all the more astonishing is that these kids normally prefer video games to reading. As a mom, I was thrilled that my son had so much fun reading and I'm hoping he'll seek out other books with as much delight. Frischman, pleeeeeeeeeease write a sequel!

When he closed the book, he looked up at me and asked me if it was a series and said we needed to get the sequel! So pleeeeeease, publish a sequel to this glorious book!
This is from my 11 year old son: As a major reader myself I know a great book when I see one. I was never really interested with magic, but I thought I would give it a try. Jackson and Jenks is a brilliantly funny book. All the jokes are appropriate and still great.
